Praise be to the Lord and the amazing beautiful gift of Life he keeps showering us with. Today I feel so blessed to be writing this small article about myself, it is with God’s grace that I am still alive and able to share my story. Thank you all for the opportunity and your time to read my story and know about me.
My name is Caroline Modjadji (the rain queen) Pale, I was born in a small town called Mokopane in Limpopo province at George Masebe Hospital on Thursday the 6th of April 1989. I was raised by my grandmother whom I am named after (her name is also Caroline) from my 3rd month after I was born, as my mother had to go back to school to finish her Teaching course. I am from a family with both parents who’ve been married for the past 40 years now, and who were both educators and are now on pension. My parents took me from my granny at the age of 6 years where I started school. I attended the same school where my mother was working till grade 7. I then went to boarding school for my entire high school years, from 2002-2006. After matric, I studied Information Technology at Tshwane University of Technology though my 1st choice of study was to enrol in medical studies. My parents are blessed with 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls and I am the youngest daughter in the family, and we are all still alive
(All Glory to God)!
Growing up we were taught about the importance of going to church and learning the Word of God and understanding the importance of praying. I was baptized in 1989 and started attending Sunday school by the age of 3 years. From my 12th year on I attended the confirmation class and started taking
Holy Communion by the age of 13. I then joined the Youth League till the age of 30 were I joined the Young Adult League. I have been a member of Malokong Parish (Doringfontein congregation) ever since I was born. Every place I have ever stayed I always make sure I find our family church and attend services with them, that is how I was raised.
Both my parents are also part of the executive in our congregation, my father being the chairperson and mother being in the treasury.
I came to Cape Town in June 2018, and I am working at SARS Bellville campus. My stay in Cape Town has thus far been interesting, meeting new people, experiencing different lifestyles and different cultures (Psalm 23) early 2019 I’ve managed to find my family church (ELCSA) in Bellville, I couldn’t feel less home, the warm welcome, kind people, interesting German and English services and the lovely get together after church services and oh how can I forget the amazing coffee and cakes! Thank you everyone for allowing me to be part of the Bellville family. May our Almighty Lord bless everyone
(James 1:17).

PS: Caroline recently obtained a fulltime job in Pretoria. We, as congregation, wish her all the best for the future.
