Dear Kreuzkirche Members, My name is Wikus Opperman. Some of you may already know me, but for those who do not, I am truly looking forward to getting to know you personally in the time ahead. I, my wife Luria and our daughter Ezilé moved from Potchefstroom to Bellville Kreuzkirche in order for me to complete my first theological exam as a UELCSA student. This has been a big step for our family, and we are grateful for the warm welcome we have already begun to experience among you.
We thank the Lord that He has granted us this, and we are deeply thankful for His guidance and provision in bringing us here. At the beginning of April, I started with my Vicariate at our congregation under the guiding hand of pastor Schalk and the Church Council. It is a privilege to serve in this congregation, and I look forward to walking this road with each of you, growing together in faith and in Christ.
