Dear Congregation,
Adventsbasar, 26 November: We celebrated a wonderful and successful basar together! Many thanks to all the helpers and supporters of this function. Evaluation of the basar will be on the 28th January at 9:00 am.
We celebrated Advent together with the Kraaifontein Congregation on Sunday afternoon, 4 December, 16.00 in Kraaifontein. Some 15 participants from Kreuzkirche joined the occasion and were treated afterwards to a sumptuous finger supper. It was a good time of fellowship!
Missional Work Group: 21 January, 9-11 am.
Adventsbasar evaluation: 28 January at 9:00 am, followed by planning of Easter basar.
School service: We celebrate the start of the school year on Sunday 29 January, 9:00 am, together with the German Primary School and the Kindergarten.
Confirmation: We will celebrate the confirmation of Zoë Buhr-Engelke and Gustav Langhoff, together with their families, on Sunday 26 February at 10:15 (Afrikaans)
Church Day 2017: Will be celebrated at the St Johannisheim on Sunday 5 March, 09:00. Followed by lunch. Details to fol-low.
Passionsandachten: These will start on the 1st March (Ash Wednesday), at 15:15 in German, at the St Johannisheim.
Pastors’ Conference: Pastor Peter will attend
Pastor’s leave:
- Non-working week 12-18 February;
- non-working week 17-23 March;
- leave 24-31 March.
Pastor’s contract: Runs till the end of March. No further developments can be reported from the side of the Pastor.
English Bible Study: on Wednesday 1st and 22nd February at 19:00.
House visitation or an office appointment: please do not hesitate to let me or the Church Office (Karin or Christiane) know. Please advise of congregation members in hospital!
