In the Eastern Cape Pastor Dieter Trümpelmann was elected by the St. Peters by the Lake congregation of the ELCSA(N-T) as their new pastor. He is to start there in January 2018. We thank him for the many years of service in St.Crucis, the CCE and the Church Council. Let us pray for him and his family as they now go through the time of farewell and change. May God strengthen and bless them!
Patrick Keifert visit:
Prof. Patrick Keifert will be our guest speaker at Synod. Prior to Synod he will be engaging with congregations in both the CCW and CCE. The program is available from the congregations. Important dates to note are:

- 20th August: preaching at Strand Street Lutheran Church
- 26th August: meeting at St Crucis East London
- 26th August: preaching at St. Andrews East London
The focus of the meetings will be around the Synod’s main topic, which is “Reformation—then and now”, discerning where God is guiding His Church to. I encourage you all to make use of this opportunity to engage with Prof Patrick Keifert and one another.
Synod
Synod will take place in Stellenbosch from 1st to 3rd September 2017. A synod preparing meeting for the CCE has taken place on 24th June at St. Andrews, East London. For the CCW a meeting has been planned for 19th August at the Strand Street Lutheran Church at 9 am.
Prof. Patrick Keifert, from the Lutheran Church in America, will be the guest speaker and will reflect with us on the topic: “Reformation: then and now.”
