Since 2015 (with the e<\/span>xception of the two COVID years), joint church services on the second of Advent<\/span> have been held at Kreuzkiche<\/span>, Bellville Church of the Cross and St. Philps Kraaifontein (ELCSA)<\/span> \u2013 alternating each year between the two congregations. This event has now <\/span>already developed into a tradition between the two sister congregations and is an occasion on our church calendar to look forward to. <\/span>On the 3<\/span><\/span>rd<\/span><\/span> of December <\/span>2023, it was Kreuzkirche's turn to play host<\/span> for this joyous event. All-in-all about 60 people attended the morning service, which was well received. I will remember <\/span>the occasion especially <\/span>for how lively and passionately the congregations participated in singing the hymns <\/span>which were trilingual. St. Philips also presented two lovely choir pieces. The sermon was given by pastor <\/span>Constance van Wyk. After the service everyone was treated to German Bratwust and a roll of <\/span>Br\u00f6tchen<\/span>, with juice and wine to share.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
